5th Forum on Agile Modelling Architecture
The International Forum on MDA® and Agile Modeling Architecture, a one-day event organized in
collaboration with OMG and The Open Group, will be held in Milan, Italy the 30th of September 2010.
This event will include presentations from business experts, industry evangelists and architects, describing real cases in business sectors such as telecom, banking and services. Key players in the Italian market and international experts will attend the event.
This event will present information on Model-Driven Architecture, Business Process Management, Enterprise Architecture and Business Architecture and through a high-level view geared for middle management executives and IT Architects to help you make the important decisions that affect your enterprise architecture. Please join us to learn from those who have already succeeded as they share tips, tricks, lessons learned and pitfalls to avoid on the path to achieving an agile business architecture.

Participants will learn:
- OMG’s vision for business modeling, how it benefits the bottom line and how it can benefit your industry;
- For the Architects: Practical knowledge of Model Driven Architecture® (MDA®), like the impacts on the model life cycle and in real application cases, and how it can be the driver of a successful overall business architecture strategy;
- A business-focused approach to modeling and the specifications and standards critical to business modeling success;
- Lessons Learned: How to maximize ROI when enacting a Business Process Management (BPM) project;
- The Open Group’s Enterprise Architecture (EA) strategy and roadmap;
- How to avoid pitfalls in applying Enterprise Architecture (EA);
- Available modeling tools and solutions, including demonstrations (in the expo area).
About the Forum
The International Forum on MDA® and Model Driven Architecture® (MDA®) has evolved to encompass a broader spectrum of business and
technology concerns, including Enterprise Architecture (EA) and Business Modeling. Together, business and technical models combine
to form a business Ecosystem, in order to provide:
The International Forum on Agile Modeling Architecture is focused on the practical application of modeling techniques across a
broad spectrum: MDA is an enabler that can maximize benefits when applying Enterprise Architecture (EA) or Business Process Models:
it can support the entire life cycle, driving the effort that can lead to the actual development/generation of platform code.
In this perspective models have to become computable and actionable and hence able to directly drive the business, not as a simple
blueprint to become a picture on the wall. With computable models that define the various architectures, we can drive and affect
the organizations from them, making it live, more then aligned with the business, they can become the nervous system of the
organization; this requires a holistic and coral viewpoint in model management.
There is the need to define and develop tools, approaches and techniques for querying, viewing, federating and analyzing the architectures of the organization as a whole, this can enable consistent visibility and collaboration, provide for external comments and input from stakeholders.
An Enterprise Architecture consultant or team can investigate how an EA framework, such as TOGAF™, Archimate™ or Business Motivation Model (BMM), can bring a significant advantage and ROI to organizations with the ability to drive the organization and to be connected to the business. Business Analysts can understand how Business processes modeled in BPMN can be brought to life and be executed in the context of an EA framework. Technical leaders and Architects can see how Agile Modeling Architectures enable a fast software life cycle management and how this can benefit a seamless software development.
- Creation of assets via a model-based management approach;
- Reuse with a well-grounded vision on business and technology needs;
- Interoperability;
- Agility in business alignment via separation of concerns: technology vs. business.
